Why I Believe

PERSONAL PROFILE I write this as I happen to accept the advice of Islam quite strongly. The funny thing is it is nothing to do with brainwashing, religion passed down from parents, just conforming to the culture I was born into or accepting it as an opium for the masses. Contrary to this I believe out of analysing hard scientfic facts, deducing all the possibilities of where I could have come from from happening by some great chance, being god or part of the god himself ie the universe is god and I am part of it (just I don't realise without deep searching), wether there is an intelligent designer who has dissapeared, to there is a god or gods. Then if there is a god is it some spiritual or phylosophical side like hinduism/budhism, or an exact god like the abrahamic religions. I thought the source was Jewdaism so why not that. But they are the chosen people, so how is god who created such wonders select some and reject others to some waste creation. Was it Christianity which Islam is very much a duplicate. Cannot be because if god wanted to transfer his way of living peacefully, atleast he would have kept his message or teachings in tact. The bible at one point was said to contain 50,000 historical, contradictions, scientific and other such errors.

On the other hand the quran promised it would keep the text and the so called gods teachings in tact since it ealiest conception via the so called prophet Mohammed. Till now it is miraculously not had any contradictions with itself, history, science and any other errors which can dissprove its claim besides non belief in the book as a whole. Since the bible is pretty similar to the quran you would expect the same errors in the quran. However the quran does not. To the extent where the bible errors on scientific or historical points the quran re-itterates the now proved scientific or historic fact. A vast majority of Muslims believe in the teachings of Islam after much soul searching and analysing all the knowledge they have aquired through life. In fact it is the only religion which continuously challanges the accepted believer to continue searching for worldly knowledge so that he may disprove or if not acheived, will make more concrete his faith.

Many a time faith in ones religion goes up an down, sometimes to the spaces where belief in religion is no more. With so much malining of Islam it gets a bad name. Hence as a Muslim we need to continue to remember wether we want to believe and if so what is it that made you believe in the first instance. I write my own reasons, especially after new Muslims continuosly urge Muslims not to be lazy and keep the beauty of Islam to themselves, leaving them to do their own searching before arriving to Islam. Hence below is some of the reasons why I believe. There are endless reasons but I will be making rough notes of striking oddities which lead me to Islam. Hope you can analyse them yourself and come to some conclusions of your own...

"Intelligent Design - DNA An excellent example of intelligent design is the DNA molecule. Since its discovery by James Watson and Francis Crick in 1953, evolutionists have faced an insurmountable hurdle. "In December 2004 , a renowned British philosopher, Antony Flew, made worldwide news when he repudiated a lifelong commitment to atheism, citing among other factors, evidence of intelligent design in the DNA molecule. Also in December, the ACLU filed suit to prevent a Dover, Penn. school district from informing its students about the theory of intelligent design. In February, The Wall Street Journal reported that an evolutionary biologist with two doctorates had been punished for publishing a peer-reviewed scientific article making a case for this same theory. More recently, the Pope, the President of the United States and the Dalai Lama have each weighed in on the subject. But what is this theory of intelligent design? And why does it arouse such passion and inspire such apparently determined efforts to suppress it? ... But consider an even more fundamental argument for design. In 1953 when Watson and Crick elucidated the structure of the DNA molecule, they made a startling discovery. The structure of DNA allows it to store information in the form of a four-character digital code. Strings of precisely sequenced chemicals called nucleotide bases store and transmit the assembly instructions--the information--for building the crucial protein molecules and machines the cell needs to survive. Francis Crick later developed this idea with his famous "sequence hypothesis" according to which the chemical constituents in DNA function like letters in a written language or symbols in a computer code. Just as English letters may convey a particular message depending on their arrangement, so too do certain sequences of chemical bases along the spine of a DNA molecule convey precise instructions for building proteins. The arrangement of the chemical characters determines the function of the sequence as a whole. Thus, the DNA molecule has the same property of "sequence specificity" that characterizes codes and language. As Richard Dawkins has acknowledged, "the machine code of the genes is uncannily computer-like." SCIENCE BIT. Place the sentence from the quran which states something like, ' we have programmed you even before you are conveceived.' ie the DNA of the male and the female parents already set the DNA programming for the unborn child.

You should stop eating just before you feel full, is part of Islamic teaching. Keep three parts whilst eating one for food, one water and one for air. Also the Islamic positions of eating actually press onto your stomach whilst eating so you get full slightly earlier than you 'actually' are.

SCIENCE BIT. It is now known by science that the brain gets signals from the stomach of how much is being taken in whilst eating 20 mins after. Hence in reality when you think your stomach is full it is already too late as you have eaten too much. {find this source from internet again}

I felt religion was a way of control, ie opium of the masses to subdue people into accepting non acceptable ways for the greater good or the good of the religion. I settle with just this thought once. Intelectually came to not believe. Funnily I looked at people who believed as stupid. Wanted all of them to not believe even though I know it would cause them to be more immoral and society to break down. Until I saw a tiniest of ants just noticeable walking aimlessly. Then thought what is it that it just suddenly stops. Ie dies.What was it in that minute thing that allowed it to move.Then as fast as it was walking stop. Then I realised I had been lazy in my thought to not believe. Then I saw a big tree waving in the breeze, to think that was once a minute seed. THINK again. Then I thought of a saying I heard didn't make sense to me earlier. How a mother cradles her newly born baby in her arms. Even after it urinate on her, and scratches her eyes. She still cradles her. Even lets her sleep next to her even though it cries and wakes her up uncontrolably and hold it with her all. But once it is dead within a day she will not think of keeping the child in her room. The child is the same but now it needs to be left somewhere else not lying in the same room. Why. What has left the child. In otherwards the soul which she was in love with no longer resides there. The child is the same but what she loved has gone.

How fast islam spread, within 60 years a 1/3 had already embraced Islam. That you could travel from Africa to the north of China and trade speaking arabic is proof of that. It has to be a gods religion that can do this.

Prophesies, when there was only a few muslims and were being persecuted, prophecies like you will be at your pinicle when you will rule over constantinople (Turkey). Which was true after which the muslim civiliation faltered and went back. However also prophecised near the end days the non muslims will be vieing over picking at your countries like dogs eating bones on a plate. 'The muslims will be very small in number',suggested the companians of the prophet (SAW). He said ,'No' you will be great in number but will be like froth on the sea.
